Turning images into animations has become a breeze. If you are already a professional motion designer familiar with the terms, writing detailed and precise prompts wouldn't be hard at all. But if you are just starting out in animation and video (like me), you'll need extra help issuing instructions. After a few failed attempts at getting the best animation out of my images, I figured something out. Claude. It simply excels at generating these animation prompts. I used my free account to upload the image and generate a few ideas. Picked the best one and asked Claude to create a concise or detailed prompt as necessary. 

Example (detailed) prompt that animated a simple sketch: 

**8-Second Animation Prompt: "Professional Confidence Sequence"**

**Duration:** 8.0 seconds total

**Breakdown:**

**0-2s: Tie Adjustment**
- Figure starts in neutral stance, hands at sides
- Right hand rises smoothly to grasp tie knot
- Subtle head tilt down to look at tie
- Gentle tugging motion - tie straightens with slight fabric wrinkle animation
- Hand smooths tie down chest with deliberate, practiced movement
- Crosshatch shading shifts subtly on jacket as torso moves

**2-4s: Watch Check** 
- Left arm lifts, rotating wrist to reveal watch face
- Head turns down and slightly left to check time
- Brief pause as eyes focus on watch (1/2 second hold)
- Slight eyebrow raise suggesting satisfaction or urgency
- Arm lowers back to side with confident snap

**4-8s: Forward Walk**
- Weight shifts to back foot in preparation
- First step forward with left foot - heel-to-toe placement
- Arms begin natural walking swing - opposite arm forward
- Second and third steps with increasing confidence
- Jacket edges flutter slightly with walking motion
- Crosshatch lines on suit create subtle movement texture
- Figure grows slightly larger in frame as they approach camera

**Technical Details:**

I used Veo 2 here to save on credits. But Veo 3 would have executed the same prompt much better. The key though is the prompt being so precise and detailed that any model can pick it up. Try Claude.
