Podcast Chapters in Spotify

Today’s @podnews noted that @Spotify updated their Podcast Delivery Specifications last month. I was curious to see if they still claim to support chapter markers for podcasts. Back in Oct 2020, @anchor publically launched "Music + Talk" shows. In exchange for going Spotify-exclusive, these shows can include full-length songs in their episodes with special chapter markers for indicating music vs talking segments. Here’s what that transition looks like:

For regular spoken-word podcasts, page 24 of Spotify’s PDF claims they support the Podlove Simple Chapters format, and @podlove_org announced it themselves way back in April 2019: twitter.com/podlove_org/status/1114583829782704129

After much digging, I eventually found a show on Spotify with Podlove Simple Chapters in their RSS feed.
