In 2009, Nathan Andrew Mitchell of Mitchell Group Holdings (MGH) and Anthony Gilby of Sunshine Gas Limited joined forces to create TE
MGH is an Australian private investment firm, focuses on energy and mining investments both domestically and internationally.
Historically, the licenses for the Lesedi Project were owned by Saber Energy (SE) and held under a Farm-In Agreement between Kalahari Energy Ltd and Sekaname, a subsidiary of SE.
2010, TE is registered as a public company in Australia and registered as an external company in Botswana, in terms of the Companies Act on the 7th November 2017.
TE and SE formed a joint venture for the Lesedi licences and other licences in Botswana.
In 2010, the venture ended, and TE acquired full ownership and operational control of these licences.
2014, TE is awarded additional licences, Mamba licences.
Mamba licences were previously held by Anglo Coal Botswana prior to its relinquishing these assets.
TE was again awarded with the Boomslang prospecting licence
#2. Operations,
TE is developing power solutions for Botswana and Southern Africa through coal bed methane (CBM) and ancillary projects.
Lesedi Power Project (LPP) is fully owned and operated by TE which is the company's most advanced development.
LPP has independently certified gas reserves, a production license, and all necessary government approvals.
LPP is located in the Karoo Kalahari Basin in south-eastern Botswana, which contains a significant proportion of southern Africa’s coal deposits
