Why I'm using digital books in a few tweets:
I used to carry a lot of books. Now they all fit in my pocket. That is a much bigger deal to me than having that "tactile" experience. I grew up carrying/reading heavy books. No thanks.
I like the ability to search books for interesting passages. I can do that now to any of my books ... because now they all fit in my pocket.
Digital books work with services like Readwise.
In terms of platforms, I've picked Kindle over Apple Books for *reasons*.
But most of all, I can get all of my books into my pocket. I explain the whole story here.
