DeFi Actually scales.

This means that smart contracts can communicate to other smart contracts their state of play, as required by the linked system.

So, going back to Lamport, it is not exactly machines sending messages to each other.


On a higher level, it is.
But in fact, those messages hold a particular type of information that allows a linked but self-contained series of objectives to proceed without interfering with each other.

I will come around to the negativity about this DLT later.
It is one of the most interesting aspects of the project when properly understood in terms of what is and what is not known.

They are appreciated and give me a lot to work with.
I understand that you are interested in conceptual clarity.
Which must mean a set of conceptual tools that others can more readily use, hence reference to the 'murky'.

I am also pleased that the team's work will be opened up.
I hadn't heard of @tarunchitra , obv a big fish and somewhat of a genius. But a stream of interesting material through his tweeter feed.

So, his tweet long tweet that you refer to:-
"DeFi, as a community, has currently focused on maximizing the surface area of how you can plug callback functions into a resource (e.g. lending pools) via flash loans and flash mints ...

while spending no time on making the computational complexity of finding a social welfare minimizing but individual utility maximizing set of callback functions hard."

This allowed me to look at the whole field through a different lens. Like the 'maths' gave me permission to see the obvious!!
(Silly me.)
We are looking at MEV, OK, but this must generalise further.
I will try to look at that in the TG groups I message in.

Radix will offer a different approach to atomic finality of transactions that will hold in the composition of arbitrary components (SCs).

3. Whether MEV is precluded in Babylon or Xi’an is significant since it will colour the experience and possibility of successful use cases if it is not. This will seriously impede adoption.

5. The fundamental architecture of the DLT, I speculate with the ease of creating native tokens, could mean that 4. is an intractable problem.
