Maslow's hierarchy of needs, is a psychological theory developed by #AbrahamMaslow in the mid-20th century.
Acc to this theory, human needs can be categorized into a hierarchical structure, each level of need must be fulfilled before an individual can progress to next level.
++
The hierarchy is usually depicted as a pyramid with five levels, from the most fundamental physiological needs at the base to the highest level of self-actualization at the top.
++
The five levels of needs in Maslow's hierarchy are:
1. Physiological needs: These are the basic survival needs, such as food, water, shelter, and sleep.
++
2. Safety needs: Once the physiological needs are fulfilled, individuals seek safety and security in their lives, including personal and financial security, health, and protection from harm.
++
3. Love and belongingness needs: Once the safety needs are met, individuals strive for social connection, love, friendship, and a sense of belonging in their relationships and communities.
++
4. Esteem needs: Once the lower-level needs are satisfied, individuals seek self-esteem, recognition, achievement, and respect from others.
++
5. Self-actualization needs: This is the highest level of needs, where individuals strive for personal growth, self-fulfillment, and reaching their full potential.
++
