Varahamihira's Lunar Prophecy

In 550 CE, Varahamihira, an ancient Indian astronomer and mathematician, predicted water on the Moon in his groundbreaking book "Pancha Siddhantika."

In the chapter "Graha-laghava," he declared:

"Somewhere on the Moon, there is a region of water, visible to the naked eye."

1400 years later, India's Chandrayaan mission confirmed his astonishing foresight by finding water on the Moon.

He also described the Moon's "dark spots" as "like seas."
