Archaeological clues reveal human habitation predating Harappan civilisation:
A community existed in the Kutchh region 5,000 years before IVSC. Researchers found links with coastal sites in Pakistan's Las Bela, Makran, and the Oman Peninsula, indicating similar survival methods. They discovered shell scatters and stone tools for cutting, scraping, and splitting, along with used cores.
Dr. Shikha Rai from IITGN said these tools indicate extensive toolmaking for daily tasks. The raw materials likely originated from Khadir Island, known for the Harappan city of Dholavira.
