We do a little realizing we haven't talked much lately about the art aside from art gms, so let's change that a bit.
What are some of the most awe-inspiring pieces you've seen/collected over the summer?

The downturn has really slowed down my buying habits. There has been a lot of work I'd love to own but can't justify reaching for (like some of the Bowie pieces yesterday π©)
That being said, I still managed to collect some π₯over the last few months.
At the end of June, VibesDAO acquired what we believe to be the grail @PopWonderNFT piece "Experience Yourself"
massive props to @straybits1 who put up a hefty amount to let us acquire this π
In July, I was lucky enough to win my personal grail of the summer, Growing in Odd Directions I by @brokedidonato
This piece gives me classy antique floral vaporwave vibes that overwhelm me with a sense of happiness that is hard to describe πππβ€οΈ
Also in July, I was able to pick up another heavy vaporwave vibe piece titled Interplanetary Dreaming by @moosechildd, with music by @jencaywood
(can you tell I may have a specific vibe I go for when collecting? π€£)
Another July π₯pick-up was Vulvia by @404tearzzz
I almost missed the auction block for this collection. I came in at the last minute, extended the auction, and secured the dub.
I love how playful + mischievous this piece is, and the background is wonderfully detailed.
July was a π₯month for deezevault
I got to meet @nev_in_color at Art Basel last year and patiently waited to find a piece I loved. He's such a fuckin vibe irl and I love his work.
When Nev released his collection in July, I knew tides pull us apart was the piece for me.
JULY WAS CRAZY, our good friend @megbatphoto dropped a collection titled "Coming home" which is a completely different vibe than her usual feminine portrait style she's so well known for.

Another π₯July pickup was one of my favorite NFTs ever, 420 cat by @killeracid
I traded a KA piece I had, Blotter Boy + some ETH to @KeyboardMonkey3 for this grail πππ
Looking back, I can't believe how hot July was.
@tjthorne_photo dropped the Urban Archetypes collection and I was able to pick up my favorite piece, Verticality.
ANOTHER July pickup that fits the vaporwave aesthetic in a more dark / mysterious / ominious vibe is Chasing Light by @TaysaJorge

Speaking of π¦, in August I picked up this wonderful Trio of them, captured by @leepengelly
I love wildlife and nature, and talking to Lee about his foxes collection really pulled me into his world for a bit.
Over the summer, @sneakerdad_ introduced me to @love_thy_land 's work and I was immediately hooked.
In August, I was able to pick up this serene piece titled "Aoraki" which makes me feel so calm and ready to go on an adventure every time I see it. π»ποΈ
I've been following and vibing with @POSTWOOK for a minute. In August, I was finally able to collect a few pieces of hers that really fit my vibe.
The Deep End (blue/green piece) really stopped me in my tracks and hit me hard. π€―
In early August, @cathsimard_ came out with an incredible collection called "Blue Patagonia" ππ
She is the fucking best, and always giving back to her collectors.
I got to pick out a couple of my favorite Behind the Scenes shots which highlight her journey π
yet another August grail was acquired from @dipanjan_photos's Red Sails collection.
I've had a blast watching Dipanjan's journey since he dropped his first collection last August.
He shared a plan with a grand vision and executed it over the course of the last year. π
Given the market, we've expanded our co-collecting groups.
The first acquisition Megazord (@guppynft + @GuyNorcal + myself) made was Daily Commute by @egodead
this piece reminds me of my old job and the daily commuting ritual that sapped a piece of my soul every day β οΈ
I'm a big fan of Abstract photography and @RachelSTWood dropped a beautiful collection in August
I picked up a piece that fits my vibe, and Rachel airdropped me another piece called "Vibes" from her wild Outback adventure with @intrepid_p π€―
Speaking of @intrepid_p , Robert airdropped me a piece titled Frontier which we talked about over a year ago, in August.
I love his Northern Exposure series and think it has gone relatively under the radar compared to other drops in the space.
Speaking of generous artists we love to collect from, @iJmillz came in HOT with a new collection on SuperRare in September and gifted me one of my favorite pieces, Station.
the supernatural @ben_zank is another extremely generous artist we acquired a piece from in September.
He dropped "Break a Leg" on SR and sent this edition "Leg" to every single bidder πππ
One of these days I'll acquire a 1/1 Zank.

In the middle of September, @toastoasr came out with a collection I've been waiting months for.
I started 5 auctions and ended up winning 3 of them.
He's one of my favorite surreal/conceptual photographers in the space and this set means so much to me.
In September, I hosted a space with @EM1T_ and @Raskalov talking about their climb in Mexico City.
I knew I had to pick up a 1/1 during the space and went with Christ the Redeemer in Times Sq

I've been eyeing this specific piece for most of September and finally went for it after realizing I'd be very pissed if someone else bought it π

this stop-motion piece really hit in a glitchy, spooky and eccentric way.

All in all, I'm super proud of the art I've been able to collect during this super slow phase of the market.
