If you use it right, Gmail is the most powerful platform worldwide.
But it does a horrible job of showing you its advanced features.
10 hacks no one knows about:
1. Schedule the sending of your email
Do you want to create the impression that you're working at 10:00 pm?
Here's how you can do it:
→ Click the arrow next to 'send'
→ Choose 'Schedule Shipping'
→ Select the desired date and time.
2. Gmail offline
→ Sign in to your Gmail account.
→ Click the gear icon or "Quick Settings".
→ Click “See all settings”.
→ Select “Offline” and then “Enable” for more options.
3. Send a confidential email
Keep things on the down-low by sending confidential emails.
Hit the 'lock' symbol when composing to restrict copy, print, forward, and download options.
4. Cancel an email
Sent something by mistake?
No stress.
Activate the "cancel sending" option in Settings > General for up to 30 seconds of oh-no-free zone.
5. Utilize tags
Keep your inbox tidy and organized.
Use tags to categorize emails by themes like "Work", "Personal", or "Travel".
6. Delete promotional emails
Overwhelmed by subscriptions?
Type "unsubscribe" in the search bar, select all, and hit delete to clear the clutter.
7. Create templates:
Save time with templates for frequent responses.
Compose, then save your message as a template via the three dots menu.
8. Archive important emails:
Keep important emails safe but out of the way by archiving them.
Just hit the archive icon on the emails you want to store.
9. Snooze an email:
Not ready to deal with an email?
Snooze it!
Click the clock icon and set a time for it to come back to your attention.
10. Gmail shortcuts
Use Gmail with keyboard shortcuts.
→ Shift + I to mark as read.
→ ⌘ or Ctrl + Enter to send an email.
→ ⌘ or Ctrl + K to insert a link.
→ C to compose.
→ / to search your emails.
