2/3 Report of #vaquita expert group CIRVA includes work by anthropology team which met with many Upper Gulf fishers to map in detail the reasons *they* give for non-compliance with the gillnet ban. If we work together to make better alternatives, they will gladly choose them.
3/3 We will continue exploring & highlighting issues from the new CIRVA report of its June meeting, the first since 2019, over the coming weeks before the September #vaquita survey.
