In @DanielAndrewsMP's state of Victoria, you can perform the feat of changing your sex (or your child's sex) in official records every 12 months. If that sounds extreme, best to keep quiet. If you speak out, you'll be the one smeared as an "extremist".

Victoria's schools have been told students may be able to "socially transition" -- live in a new gender role -- without parental consent. This intervention risks putting kids on a path to lifelong medicalisation. If this worries you, you're the "bigot".

Our media largely ignore the international debate over youth gender medicine & the very real conflicts between radical trans claims & the interests of women & children. Too busy reporting the "extremism" of women who peacefully gather in the public square to have their say.
Perhaps more journalists might ask why trans rights activists (many not trans) are so quick to smear critics as evil conspirators & so reluctant to talk about the substance -- how to resolve conflicts of rights or the ethical challenges of gender medicine's weak evidence base.
