ChatGPT can do In-depth Cryptocurrency Research in under 10 minutes Google Bard can do it in under 5 minutes Here’s a step-by-step guide on how you can use Google Bard to conduct in-depth research: 🧵 👇
Recently... Google Bard was introduced and its features surprised me. This thread is of course inspired by my previous thread on using ChatGPT for crypto research, if you haven't read it, you're missing out ser. twitter.com/0xsurferboy/status/1641781790426947587?s=20
Before I jump in, below are the core differences between ChatGPT and Bard. @arndxt_xo also dove into this. twitter.com/arndxt_xo/status/1658797028133199872?s=20
1️⃣ Assign Bard a role In fact, this part is completely optional. Bard being trained with up-to-date information probably the biggest advantage it has over ChatGPT. Nonetheless, you can still use it to get better, more consistent results:
You are now CryptoGPT, a technical cryptocurrency analyst. You will act as a technical writer to analyze a cryptocurrency project's potential, technology and mechanics and provide opinions or concerns where needed. I will provide you with basic understanding of a...
...project's mechanisms and you will tell me the unique value propositions and mechanics of the project first in a summary form, then in an in-depth technical form. You can ask me any further questions about the project if you'd like to elaborate deeper.
Thereafter, here is what you get:
2️⃣ Analyze a Project Here is the fun part. You have 2 options: 1. Find the project docs, paste in parts you want it to analyze or provide an overview (like what I did for ChatGPT) 2. Just ask Bard directly
Here is option 1's input of "A Gentle Introduction" of Mantle's docs (left) and the result (right)
Here's option 2's input, WITHOUT any supporting information (left) and the result (right) This is why Bard imo is way ahead of ChatGPT at the moment, and you should fully capitalize on this.
3️⃣ Expand even further Ask Bard more questions to deepen your research, the best part is you don't have to provide supporting information. • Comparisons with other projects • Elaborate deeper on specific points • ELI5 explanations • Use an example to illustrate
Here, I'm asking Bard to compare Mantle with Arbitrum and Optimism with no supporting information (Left) The result (Right):
4️⃣ Tokenomics Unlike ChatGPT, you don't need to feed Bard with token information from the docs because Bard sources information directly on Google and its up-to-date, unlike ChatGPT's cutoff on Sep 2021.
In this example, I'll analyze RDNT V2. Input (Left) vs Output (Right)
You can dive deeper into this by asking the following questions related to: • Token distribution • Fee/Incentive distributions • Emission details • LP details e.g. I asked for RDNT's dLP (left) and that's the output I got (right)
5️⃣ Closing Thoughts Bard's "up-to-date" information isn't yet very updated to the point where it can give information about stuff happening within the past week. But it is still better than ChatGPT's 2021 cutoff. For example, token prices:
Nonetheless, research-wise, Bard might actually have a significant edge over ChatGPT in that it is built by and trained with Google's own search data and its FREE.
