In each step, I'll provide examples of my inputs and the results generated by both GPT-4 and GPT-3.5.
1️⃣ Setting the Context
Step 1. Tell ChatGPT exactly what its role is and what you're looking for.
Learning how to properly prompt ChatGPT is essential to getting the right, specific responses you are looking for.
Below is my template which you can yoink 👇
You are now CryptoGPT, a technical cryptocurrency analyst. You will act as a technical writer to analyze a cryptocurrency project's potential, technology and mechanics and provide opinions or concerns where needed.
I will provide you with basic understanding of a ...
... project's mechanisms and you will tell me the unique value propositions and mechanics of the project first in a summary form, then in an in-depth technical form. You can ask me any further questions about the project if you'd like to elaborate deeper.
2️⃣ Analyze Documents
Step 2. Paste a part of the project's documents into ChatGPT (Format it if necessary).
Repeat it for all other sections you want to analyze.
Below is an example of Mantle's introduction which I used as my Input:

If you want a deeper explanation on the response, here are some prompts to work off of:
• Comparisons with other projects
• Elaborate deeper on specific points
• ELI5 explanations
• Use an example to illustrate
Here's an example of my input: "Elaborate more on how the Decentralized Sequencer works"

3️⃣ Analyze Tokenomics
Step 4:
Similar to Step 2, paste the Tokenomics docs into Chat GPT. In this case, I'll use $RDNT.
Provide all relevant info to get a better response.
Look for:
• Token distribution
• Fee/Incentive distributions
• Emission details
• LP details
For this example, I fed it:
• RDNT V2 Token details + Incentive mechanisms
• dLP details
• RDNT V1 Token details + Incentive mechanisms
Input: Using the above information, provide a deep analysis into the $RDNT V2 tokenomics, distribution, emissions and sustainability.
Here's the results I got from GPT-4 vs Default GPT-3.
Step 5: Drill into it even further. Ask ChatGPT to analyze metrics.
Provide data from DefiLlama and Tokenterminal:
• TVL
• Circ. mcap
• FDV
• Revenue/Fees
Here was my input:
RDNT V2 has a TVL of $167M
RDNT's circulating market cap is $74M
RDNT's Fully diluted market cap is $375M
30-day fees generated is $1.21M
30-day revenue is $605K
Calculate metrics and analyze based on the number whether RDNT is a good investment.
Here are the results:

4️⃣ Things to note
• On all occasions, GPT-4 provided way better quality responses vs GPT-3.5. If you do research regularly, the $20 subscription can save you a lot of time.
• ChatGPT provides primarily qualitative feedback unless you feed it numerical data.

ChatGPT is not perfect with it's information only updated up till Sep 2021.
