Typefully is fantastic and way too cheap for what you get.
We’ve tried many alternatives at @framer but nothing beats it. If you’re still tweeting from Twitter you’re wasting time.

I spent this night in Kharkiv under massive Russian missile attack.
This morning, I stand tall on the Freedom Square in Kharkiv.
Thoughts on Survival, strikes aftermath, Ukrainian resilience and liberal democracy. 🧵
Strikes started around 0400AM, and continiued up to around 0600AM.
It was impossible to sleep because of the air defense and missiles sounds and lights in the sky of Kharkiv.
That was dangerous, having about 20 russian missiles attack the city. The heroic air defense did their best to stop the missiles. When those missiles hit the city, you have no idea where the next one is going to land - so there is no place where you can feel safe, kind of anxiety
I have heard missiles hit the city, seen the smoke curbs, effectively putting Kharkiv into complete blackout and wounding civilians. No running water, no internet, no electricity and no heating. There are many generators in the city, keeping grocery shops and pharmacies powered.
You can’t surprise me much with missile strikes because I am used to it and have stoic mindset on life and death. But it’s not normal.
Ukraine fights for its survival now, and it’s not normal to fight for your survival with military means in 2024 in Europe.
Kharkiv is the most resilient city I have ever seen in my life.
Each third building is either destroyed or damaged, but the city functions well.
In the morning, right after horrrible missile strikes, the city lives on: people walk their dogs, look for coffee shops, city gardeners trim bushes in the park, energy workers immediately fix power lines, police officers regulate traffic, and the buses get people to work.
There is unbelievable spirit of unity among people who stay in the city. They are united by the spirit of being Kharkiv people, the most Kharkiv people honestly. There is no way you can drive them out of the city.
Another rather surprising thing in the morning was the FT article authored by notoriuous Christopher Miller aka the guy who is negatively famous in Ukraine for attributing random street graphiti to all Ukrainians being nazis.
So, he says - Ukraine should not hit oil refineries in Russia because the USA elections and gas prices go brrr after Ukraine hits over 15 refineries in West Russia, that’s a big escalation move the US does not like.
That was ridiculous to read after that night with over 20 russian ballistic missiles over my head in Kharkiv. No escalation, right? We got to understand - it’s not only about money and gas prices. People seem to have lost their moral compass and only understand the language of $.
It’s about human lives and values we declare.
I believe that Ukraine must defend itself against Russia. The right for self-defense, the right for Independence and the right for Freedom are fundamental for liberal democracy - many politicians tend to forget how precious it is.
I believe sanctioning russian oil industry by strike drones is the way to go because no other sanctions have been effective enough to stop russian war machine.
It’s literally fueled by oil and gas.
Kharkiv stands, and Ukraine stands on 758th day of Independence war.
I want to leave you with this message from Kharkiv:
Ukraine must defend itself. We must help brave people of Ukraine. Russia can always just step away from Ukraine, but Ukraine can’t leave Ukraine.
