Life will throw you into the gutter, but you CAN escape the reality you hate & create a better one. Step #1: Take control of your life. Step #2: Lead a life worth living. None of its easy, both all of it is worth it. Here's my short story (wakeup call) 🧵:
During high school, & college I worked at McDonalds. This job was good to make money so I could buy things, but I spent less than 10% of what I made turns out I didn't really want many things, and still don't It took me some time to realize why this was, & what I really wanted
I ended up going to college because it was expected of me. Why are we casually choosing a place to rack up crazy debt? Still not sure about that... Something I am sure of? after dropping out of college & quitting McDonald's: What I want out of life. I want freedom, & CONTROL.
The moment I made my first $1 on the internet I knew I could make a living here. An alternate path for my life; that I actually enjoyed. This may look much different for you, but here's my main takeaway for anyone who wants to carve their own way in life:
Control of your fate, for better of worse... twitter.com/naval/status/977691483191980032
This opens up the freedom to live & earn your way. Often makes people unemployable (in a good way) twitter.com/naval/status/977712028163833856
Coming back to me not spending money on really anything, even when earning more: its simple for my ideal lifestyle of working for myself & having control. I live below my means to have more freedom. This is priceless. twitter.com/naval/status/930589084849905664?lang=en
All of this wrapped up is me following: Step 1: Take control of your life & Step 2: Lead a life worth living. This is my life worth living, one where I'm in control and have more freedom than most. What's your ideal life? Will you take control?
