Typefully is fantastic and way too cheap for what you get.
We’ve tried many alternatives at @framer but nothing beats it. If you’re still tweeting from Twitter you’re wasting time.

this morning at 10:15 AM I published a piece of writing im very proud of...
I'm so proud of it that I texted my mom & sent it to her to read
She hasn't read any of my other newsletters to my knowledge but she read this one
and her response of praise made my eyes water... 🧵
The piece is titled "A jobless revolution is coming".
I'll leave a link to it at the end of this thread for all interested
But first: I want to dive into my feelings of being a failure & how having just a few people in your corner can make a world of difference.
⬇
At some point in life, it's more likely than not that you will feel like a failure.
A feeling that you have no idea what you're doing & if it will amount to anything
this is common, very, very common (at least from my research, let me know if you haven't ever felt this) ⬇
For the last month I haven't made much income at all, & a few months before I was making more money than ever... but I made a drastic change
I shut down most of my business and started a large pivot so I could fulfill my answers to a simple question someone asked me...
"What do you want out of life"
This question sparked me to write about my interests, I decided I didn't want the path I was currently on & would rather write about things closer to my heart & form a business around that
This led to the last month me feeling quite lost. Until..
My mom texted me this morning, (I love my mom so much, & I'm not ashamed or embarrassed to say that, ever.)
She texted me in reply to me asking her to read my writing, She loved it.
This moment that happened not even an hour ago, changed my feeling of lostness almost instantly.
Full disclosure: I live in my moms basement.
Having spent the last month feeling lost I also managed to write some awesome stuff but felt that sharing it with family was a wall
worried that people would think I'm lazy because I'm taking an approach that isn't making me $$ atm
I learned this morning profound (to me)
share more things you're proud of, especially when creating things. & share with the people who know are in your corner MORE!!
The feedback you get from people who matter to you is a big help in pushing forward past struggles & lostness
After I sent this to my mom & I also sent it to my girlfriend & best friend:
again the outcome was very positive: me feeling like im not as lost as I thought I was.
Sure there is still a lot to figure out for life, there always is.
but no worries, I have people in my corner.
Creating things can be hard, getting through struggle is always hard, having people in your corner makes it not only easier, but WORTH IT.
If you need someone to be in your corner, I'll be here.

It's a pretty awesome exploration of our future with the possibilities of being "jobless" tied together with practiced from 1500 years ago.
