First NFT Flippers got rekt (no liquidity), and Now McDonald's burger flippers are rekt (getting laid off)... Is this the end of the crypto revolution? 🧵
In the past 3 years of being interested & invested personally in cryptocurrencies there has been a running joke (& reality): If at any point someone lost a bunch of money, they could just go work at McDonald’s until prices return to new highs. Times are changing now...
McDonald's has started lay-offs MASS PANIC!! WHAT WILL WE DO? IS THIS THE END? Let's quickly go over Why crypto isn't doomed
Why this doesn’t matter & what actually does: People developing cryptocurrency tech are generally not Mcdonald's employees. Most have gigs outside of crypto like software engineering jobs. McDonald's layoffs are more of a concern for people looking to get rich quick from crypto
Cryptocurrencies are not doomed at all. Right now is actually the worst they will ever be from here on out, the underlying technology is only improving as is the need for crypto. poor traditional banking structure is showing its true colors more and more each day (insolvency)
What actually matters here is that people are still building on top of what has been built & continue to have hope that we can make a better future of financial tooling that makes people’s lives better. As far as I can tell, we still have that.
What do you think? Are McDonald's layoffs bearish for crypto, or does it not matter at all? Leave me a reply to my first tweet & if you found this useful at all consider liking the first tweet too :) Have an amazing day. -your friend jack
