1/14 Fauci is such a saint.
👉🏻 'We discussed and provided 'White Papers"
a) to justify our not agreeing to the renewal of the 1992 Bioweapons Convention [..].
b) justification for not destroying the smallpox stores [..].
c) Short and long range plans for countering an immediate or distant bioterrorism attack.'
#DRASTIC@BillyBostickson
2/14 'Nov. 26, 2002 – Briefing of Vice President Cheney at the White House regarding Project Bioshield (I made up the name) which is requesting his help in getting me special authorities for Countermeasure Advanced Development.
Meeting included VP Cheney, "Scooter" Libby (both on teleconference from secret location).'
3/14 Then he got busy working on protecting the US and Israel from Saddam's Weapons Of Mass Destruction.
'Had top secret conference call [..]
VP Cheney has indicated that we will hit Iraq soon and we expect retaliation with a smallpox attack on us or on Israel. '
4/14 Fauci gets ready to search for the Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq.
CIA operative will move him around.
@HamishDBG
5/14 Big Day! US captured the Baghdad airport, so Fauci can get ready to fly there and look for the WMD!
6/14 Fauci is ready to serve the country.
Just waiting for the WH to say the word.
7/14 Oh shit. The war is over (not) and no WMD.
But people are so nice to him. They all praise him, thank him, etc.
So everything is good.
8/14 Smallpox is so yesteryear. Let's move to monkeypox now.
That one is beautiful:
'Purpose was to brief Fran on the experiments that were being proposed regarding genetically engineered monkeypox virus to duplicate what was shown in the mousepox model where inserting the IL-4 gene into mousepox made it lethal and elusive for both vaccine and therapy.'
Rather cool!
@DrJBhattacharya@HansMahncke
9/14 The Democrats are such conspiracy theorists.
Anyway, Fauci is still doing these secret experiments to protect us all from Saddam.
10/14 Fast forward, after a few years of developing a Biodefense empire at NIH:
As usual @R_H_Ebright is up to no good, a complete axxhole.
Also Fouchier really does not want this to happen again.
Was a good reason to kill the peer-review of P.O. in Nature 8 years later, because it still mentioned the possibility of passaging. And thanks god Koopmans was on the WHO team.
💥Nobody gets in the way of Fouchier!
11/14 That one is gold. Let's not get anybody to tell the USG what it can or cannot do in terms of experiments:
@DrJBhattacharya@zeynep
Fouchier is not happy, but he has some support.
'Heidi is adamant that they could be very important to do these experiments for the national security and she does not tolerate any "advisory group" such as NSABB dictating to the USG what it can or cannot do in the line of National Security.
I love Heidi; she is a tough CIA operative and unfortunately for us will return to the CIA soon.'
12/14 The love and the trust is so touching. St Fauci sure delivered
'I will not be around to see this through, but very much hope success is achieved in terms of HHS guidelines enabling researchers to be comfortable moving forward with this important work. Really is a national security imperative.'
@Tantalite@BiosafetyNow
Anyway, St Fauci got everything sorted.
And the same people (Fauci, Fouchier, Racaniello, +Koopmans) did the same thing again 8 years later, with the WHO their new playground.
@DrTedros
13/14 These ones are there just for the fun.
Fauci really gets angry when someone tries to steal his TV appearances or photo shots, especially some diversity pick.
They are soooo mean.
