Christ being born in a cave is actually an ancient tradition and is not found in Biblical texts. In this depiction He is dressed in burial clothes which foreshadows His death. His location in a cave also is a foreshadowing of the grave where He would be buried and resurrected.

In most cases, the Theotokos is gazing at the Christ-child, instead here she is looking at St Joseph the Betrothed while interceding for him. The old man depicted next to Joseph is the devil who is filling his mind with doubt and anger. He has a halo, indicating his holiness.

Depicted on the left are the magi on their journey following the star in the sky. On the right, the Angels appear in the heavens and proclaim the Saviour's birth to the shepherds in the field so they can visit the town of Bethlehem and witness the Incarnate Christ.

St. John Chrysostom contends that the Star of Bethlehem was an angel appearing as a star, and this idea can be seen in certain Byzantine icons of the Nativity. This may also explain why today instead of the Star being on the top of the Christmas tree, there is an angel.

The women on the bottom right are midwives holding the Christ-child, indicating that our Lord was born as truly man and did not simply appear as human like the Gnostics claimed. The fountain also indicates that Christ was washed after a normal, messy birth.

In icons of the Nativity, the ox and the ass are usually depicted directly to the side of the Lord. The ox symbolizes the Jews, being a clean, kosher animal that they could eat. The ass represents the Gentiles, being stubborn, wild and unclean. Christ unites them. (Eph. 2:14)

Thread on the occult/esoteric symbolism surrounding Ye and Elon, as promised. There are symbolic links to the Raëlian extraterrestrial cult, Skull and Bones and transhumanism, intersecting with the necessity of free speech. Is there a connection here or am I just a schizo? 🧵 

First lets take a look at the "Yesticka", a symbol that was tweeted from Ye's account. We don't know who created this symbol, but its not a new invention. The symbol is used by the Raëlian UFO cult, a tax exempt religious group, and it represents "infinite space and time". 

Elon Musk has not only espoused his personal beliefs in the core foundational tenets of Raëlism, but he is actively pursuing the implementation of its belief system, and was awarded with the “Honorary Guide" for his "unwavering support of free speech".

Here, Jones points out twice that the interview is 3 hours and 3 minutes (33). Both the names Kanye West and Alex Jones have a Gematria reduction of 33. Occultists and Freemasons often use this number as kind of a "dogwhistle" to get the attention of other occultists.

Based on these observations, there's at least some occult activity going on here. We may not have enough information to connect all these things, but enough to speculate that there is potentially some kind of push for free speech in favor of transhumanism. 

"Breaking the Overton window" is necessary in developing AI since words and thoughts must be freely expressed in order for it to be truly intelligent. The Raelian Agenda: Ye, Elon and the Occult

Edward Bernays, the nephew of Sigmund Freud, was famously known as the "father of public relations" and a pioneer of propaganda. He wrote an essay called "The Engineering of Consent", in which he explains how to manufacture mass demand through psychological manipulation. 🧵

Bernays described modern propaganda as "a consistent, enduring effort to create or shape events to influence the relations of the public to an enterprise, idea or group."

The "engineering of consent" was promoted by Bernays to subvert democratic governance, as he once said “If you can influence the leaders, either with or without their conscious cooperation, you automatically influence the group which they sway”

Bernays famously worked with United Fruit Company in the 1950s, connected with the covert CIA-orchestrated coup d'état to overthrow of the democratically elected Guatemalan government in 1954.

One of Bernay’s favorite techniques for manipulating public opinion was the indirect use of “third party authorities” to plead for his clients’ causes. In this technique, he qualified the use of a reputable and prominent sponsoring groups as an appeal to authoritative consensus.

In order to promote sales of bacon, Bernays conducted a survey of physicians and reported their recommendation that people eat hearty breakfasts. He sent the results of the survey to 5,000 physicians along with publicity touting bacon and eggs as a hearty & healthy breakfast.

One of Bernay's propaganda campaigns was for Lucky Strike to promote cigarette smoking for women, since it had been largely associated with the American working man. He named it Torches of Freedom and co-opted the first wave of feminism to portray strong, liberated women smoking.

Netflix was created by Marc Bernays Randolph, grandson to Edward Bernays who was considered a pioneer in public relations and propaganda, renamed to public relations for mass manipulation in a consumer society. Everything that Netflix produces is culturally subversive propaganda.

Edward Bernays and the Engineering of Consent

Jewish influence of the entertainment industry began on Broadway, which for its first 50-year period of its development, its songs were created almost exclusively by Jews. It has rooted itself into jazz,  popular Christmas tunes and one song almost became the national anthem. 🧵 

George Gerwshin, a descendant of Russian Jews, was a highly influential songwriter, famous for his 1935 Broadway play called Porgy &amp; Bess where black performers were made to "debunk the Bible" using lines from the Jewish liturgy. 

The relationship between blacks and Jews in the entertainment industry goes as far back as the early 20th century with Gerswin's influence on jazz, described here as a "cordial but contentious battle" between black musicians and Jewish songwriters. 

Have you ever heard of Irving Berlin? Well you've definitely heard his music. He was a Russian Jewish immigrant composer who adapted to American culture so well that he wrote "God Bless America", a staple in American pop culture still to this day. 

Berlin's song "God Bless America" was met with a nationwide protest from Christian leaders once the song had reached mainstream success, to the point where it nearly replaced the national anthem. This led to a series of military propaganda plays written by Berlin. 

The Russian Jewish immigrant Irwing Berlin also wrote the music for "White Christmas", a film by a Hungarian Jew named Michael Curtiz. It became one of the most famous Christmas songs of all time, making no mention of Christ whatsoever. 

Every one of these Christmas songs is written and performed by Jewish composers, completely undermining the purpose of the holiday by taking the focus off the incarnation of Christ and onto snow, romance and cartoon characters. 

From using black performers to "debunk the Bible", to rallying military support through Broadway propaganda, to undermining Christian traditions, the Jewish influence on American entertainment has been subversive from its inception, even to the honest admission of its writers.

Buzz Aldrin was initiated into Freemasonry at Oak Park Lodge in Alabama is also a member of York Rite and Arabia Shrine Temple of Houston. He allegedly conducted the consecration of the first Masonic Lodge on the moon (sus). Here he is doing the masonic "eye of providence" pose.

Here is Buzz while allegedly on board Apollo 11 doing the "hidden hand" gesture, a known Masonic pose while wearing his fraternal ring. While Neal Armstrong was known to be the "first man on the moon", Buzz is known by his brotherhood as the "first Freemason on the moon".

John Glenn, a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Freemason, was allegedly the first astronaut to orbit the earth and the 3rd American in space. This is a photo of his masonic ring that he wore on the space shuttle Discovery, its currently in a Scottish Rite Masonic museum.

Apollo 14 Lunar Module pilot Edgar Mitchell spent 10 hours allegedly conducting a $25m package of experiments to facilitate their scientific studies of the moon's surface (sus). He was a member of Artesta Lodge No. 29 in New Mexico.

Apollo 1 astronaut Gus Grissom initially flew in both the Mercury and Gemini programs and was a member of the Mitchell Masonic Lodge No. 228. He died in a training launch session for Apollo 1.

Apollo 15 astronaut James Irwin is said to have spent 67 hours on the Moon's surface  (lol) and allegedly found a chunk of Anerthosize that was said to be 4 billion years old (lmao) and it was dubbed the Genesis Rock. He was a member of Tajon Lodge No. 104 in Colorado Springs.

Leroy Gordon Cooper Jr. was an astronaut in the Mercury Space Program and was raised a Master Mason in Carbondale Lodge No. 82 in Colorado.

For this photo, these Satanic masons made the effort to stage the lunar module and wear their Masonic garb. Nothing symbolic that occultists do is by accident, everything is hidden in plain sight.

Its worth noting that Isaac Newton, who discovered the theory of gravity (key word: theory), rejected the Trinity and became an Arian, developed a fascination with alchemy and the occult, then later in life became a Freemason.

Masons on the Moon: NASA's Lunar Astronauts and the Occult

In honor of "Reformation day", we will examine a few Biblical and historical examples of how Sola Scriptura contradicts Scripture itself and is based on a circular reasoning with a false premise that the doctrine itself is Biblical. 🧵

St. Paul encouraged Christians to preserve not only the written word but also traditions that were taught alongside the written word.

[2 Thess. 2:15] Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle.

The story of the Ethiopian in Acts 8 is perhaps the most compelling Biblical evidence of an educated layman appealing to apostolic authority to interpret Scripture. There are no Biblical examples of private interpretation of Scripture by laymen occurring.

[Acts 8:30-32] So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him.

The Ethiopian acknowledges that he cannot discern the meaning of this text so he refers to St Phillip's apostolic authority to interpret. St Phillip then gave an exposition of Isaiah 53, preaching to the Ethiopian that this Scripture was about Christ and not the prophet himself.

If Sola Scriptura were presupposed, why would the Ethiopian have asked for apostolic interpretation? He was not illiterate, St Phillip is asking him if he understands what he is already reading. If Scripture interpreted itself, this would be a totally unnecessary action.

St. Paul writes that the Church is the pillar and foundation of truth, not the Scriptures.
[1 Timothy 3:15] "...the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth."

You cannot claim the Scriptures are inspired just because they say so, since they don't even say so. Plus, this assumes the very thing you're trying to prove. Even Reddit atheists are correct to point this out and Protestants have no logical defense of it.

The NT canonization process took centuries and there were many differing canonical lists and disputes over books, so if Sola Scriptura is true, Christians for the first 800 years of the Church were lacking what Protestants consider the foundation of the Christian faith.

Even Luther had established his own canonical list and removed 7 books from Scripture because they conflicted with his theological framework.

The various writers of NT books also appealed to the inspiration of texts that are not included in the Protestant canon, which was why James and Jude were a problem for Luther.

For any Protestants reading this, if you love the Bible so much, become Orthodox. These books were compiled and confirmed by the Church Fathers throughout hundreds of years, Luther does not get to undo their work 1500 years later.


Sola Sciptura refuted by Scripture

I've heard countless metal albums in my life and was blessed to grow up during the best era of metal, the 90's. So here's some Christian metal albums that I would consider great even by secular standards. I'll try to include each band's secular counterpart if any. 🧵

Note: most of these bands never explicitly identified as a "Christian band" and were on secular labels. It's their lyrics and themes that makes them Christian or at least Biblical, which stands out since much of the genre consists of bands that are Satanic and/or anti-religion.

Deliverance - Weapons of Our Warfare (1990). Another thrash metal classic in my book, I listened to this album regularly as a teen, majority of the lyrics are direct from Scripture. Christian metal albums worth a listen

In this thread, we will expose Calvinism as the Christological heresy of Monothelitism. I'll address the Calvinist "TULIP" doctrines one by one through a Patristic lens and very briefly comment on why they each have a flawed anthropology which leads to a flawed Christology. 🧵

T: "Total depravity" states that man is so depraved that he is unable to respond to God's grace on by his own will. But if our human nature is totally depraved, so was Christ' human nature. If this is the case, then the incarnation is rendered pointless.

If we are free, we have to be at least partly capable to receive and understand divine revelation in the first place. Otherwise the only way the transition from depravity to belief is made, is by God forcing it, thus man has no free will in the process.

If God creates people whom he not only predestines would reject him, but knows they are incapable of repenting by their own free will, then sending them to eternal damnation as a result, this makes God into a narcissistic tyrant which justifies atheist arguments as such.

U: "Unconditional election" is also completely at odds with what Church Fathers taught about predestination being based on God's foreknowledge and conflates His predestination with a type of determinism. It implies God creates non-elect whom he predestines to damnation.

St. John of Damascus and St. Gregory Palamas wrote that God does *not* predetermine things, rather He foreknows and thus foreordains. If God's will is predetermined, this diminishes the hypostatic nature of Christ' human will, so He would only have a divine will (Monothelitism).

L: "Limited atonement" asserts that Christ only died for the elect and not all men. Aside from the ignorance of Christus Victor and emphasis on a penal substitutionary atonement, the Calvinist must impose limitation into the Biblical text so "for all" means "for all the elect".

This doctrine is also refuted by the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, dating back to the 5th century, based on John 3:16 - "Having come and having fulfilled the divine plan for us, on the night when He was delivered up, or rather gave Himself for the life of the world…"

Again, the doctrine of limited atonement presents a Christological conflict in that if His atonement was limited to the elect, He did not defeat death entirely but just for His chosen few, meaning the curse of death is only removed by faith of the elect.

I: "Irresistible grace" is fully dependent on total depravity being correct, since it implies we are completely incapable to respond to God's grace by our own will, so He must compel us against our will to receive His grace.

P: "Preservation of the elect" is circular as it states if an "elect" falls back into sin, they were never elect to begin with, which implies even the elect cannot know if they are truly elect, thus those "perservering" are doing so without participation in divine grace.

The Orthodox approach to soteriology is quite simply that we are willing participants in our salvation, with our human free will cooperating in a synergy with God's divine energies, becoming partakers of the divine nature itself.

TL;DR - Calvinism parallels with the heresy of Monothelitism, which denies the human free will, replacing it with the total dominance of the divine will, making it also a Christological heresy since Christ incarnated the human free will in a hypostasis with the divine will.

Also, before you critique this please just take note that I am fully aware there is much more complexity to both the Calvinist and Orthodox views, for brevity sake I tried to touch on some of the key arguments but I welcome and encourage further dialogue on this thread.
