9 months ago today, on Jul 4 2021, I began a "what if" experiment by streaming music regularly on Twitch. I'd already gotten back into singing, but there was a a ton of music inside me. And I was determined to learn how to make that music myself. (1/7)
These past 9 months have been a musical whirlwind. I dove into the art & science of singing, vocal arrangement, songwriting, and music production. There were moments of deep frustration, and I came very close to giving up. (2/7)
But the music inside me wouldn't let me give up. It kept stirring my soul, and encouraging me to try, try, and try again. And thanks to the amazing Twitch Music community, I continued to be inspired by other streamers and supported by my Twitch chat fam. (3/7)
There's a running joke in Twitch (Music), when someone in chat resubs for 9 months. "We made a Twitch baby together!" And today, I feel like Twitch and I have made a song baby together, because I released my debut single! It's bittersweet, though... (4/7)
