So, going back to Lamport, it is not exactly machines sending messages to each other.


On a higher level, it is.
But in fact, those messages hold a particular type of information that allows a linked but self-contained series of objectives to proceed without interfering with each other.

I hadn't heard of @tarunchitra , obv a big fish and somewhat of a genius. But a stream of interesting material through his tweeter feed.
