Your designs are useless until you test them with users. If you just do creative work, you're doing art not design. If you want to do real UX, here's some ways you can quickly test with end-users (for free): #ux #research thread:
There are many ways of doing usability testing, which should be done at various stages of your design process. There are: 1) Remote testing 2) In-person testing With different methods: - Surveys - Heatmap (click Testing) - Video responses Let's have a look at free tools:
1️⃣ @UsabilityHub Allows you to upload your Figma designs (or other assets) so you can do prototype testing. This free tool allows you to do design surveys and other click testing. usabilityhub.com/
2️⃣ @mazedesignhq Similar to Usabilityhub, you can do a little bit more with Maze to test your designs. Don't just share pretty designs, test them! Measure the quality of your work, and be confident in your design changes! maze.co/
3️⃣ @lookback One of the most effective usability testing tools out there. Bring your own users on this platform. If you're not testing your design, you're letting your competition beat you. (Also it makes your portfolio suck if you don't test!) lookback.com/
There are so many pretty UI designs that appear on Twitter, Behance or Dribbble. But how confident are you that they are understood by users? How confident are you that it is usable? Until you test, you'll always have to make assumptions. Stop the guesswork and do the research.
